- The production process of rubber PVC badges affects their appearance, cost, and production efficiency. At present, the common production processes for PVC badges include traditional injection molding and spray painting techniques. According to different production processes and usage requirements, PVC badges can be divided into 2D and 3D.
1. Craftsmanship: Embroidery is the process of using yarn to embroider patterns on fabric, which requires multiple steps such as embroidery, thread cutting, and sewing; The PVC badges is made of thermoplastic PVC material through processes such as mold injection molding, processing, and surface spraying and baking.
2. Appearance: Embroidered patterns have interwoven lines and continuous stitches. The thickness and density of the stitches can affect the clarity and realism of the pattern. PVC badges, on the other hand, are relatively thin in thickness and have relatively flat patterns, but they are more vibrant in color and have more three-dimensional and rich patterns.
3. Usage: Embroidery is durable and has a good texture, suitable for making high-end clothing, bags, and other portable items. It is not easy to fade or damage; PVC badges can be quickly customized for events, festivals, and other occasions, with better waterproof, moisture-proof, and antioxidant properties, suitable for outdoor sports, tourism, and other situations that require long-term wear.

What is 2D or 3D effect?
1. 2D flat badge: It is the most common type of PVC patches that presents a flat pattern effect. After surface painting and baking treatment, the colors are bright and the patterns are clear.
2. 3D Stereoscopic Badge: Compared to 2D flat badges, 3D stereoscopic badges are more three-dimensional and realistic. The production process requires higher requirements for mold making and injection molding, and are usually used for high-end gifts, souvenirs, and other occasions.

Injection Molding ProcessDesign plate making: Based on the patterns, logos, and other design renderings provided by the client, the client confirms that their own drawings are correct before making the plate making
Mold making: Place the designed plate on a CNC machining machine for cutting, and create a mold for the PVC badges.
Coloring matching: After comparing the international Pantone color codes in the preview image, professional colorists will use specific coloring pastes to mix the corresponding colors. They have experience in avoiding color differences as much as possible, and this coloring paste has the characteristics of long-lasting and ecofriendly. The next step is to color the PVC badges. First, filling in the background color on the surface of the badge, and then coloring the pattern details.
Injection molding: Heat the PVC material to a liquid state and inject it into the mold. After cooling and solidifying, take it out for molding.
Back clip: Attach back clip (magnet,velcro or pin) for easy wearing
Quality checking:The temperature and duration of baking are the key to maintaining the stability of the badge, as it will fade and turn yellow after passing the plasticization point, resulting in abrasion and deformation. To ensure the quality of the final result, this step is indispensable.
Packaging and shipping: Clean and package the PVC badges before shipping

PVC printing process
Design pattern: The customer provides the required original pattern or description requirements, and the designer conducts graphic design according to the requirements. After verification and confirmation, the next step is taken.
Printing base color: First, spray the base color on the surface of the PVC patches to make the colored patterns more vivid and layered. Wait for the base color to dry.
Spraying pattern: Spray the corresponding color pigments layer by layer on the surface of the PVC badges according to the designed pattern, and bake it with baking paint.
Baking and drying: After the printed pattern is dried, the PVC patches is sent to an oven for heating and curing.
Processing and polishing: The surface of the PVC badges taken out from the oven may have defects such as small bubbles, which need to be polished to make its surface smooth and flat.
Assembly packaging: Attach hanging ropes, needle buckles, etc. to the surface of the PVC badges, and then proceed with packaging.
